Governors

The governing body ensures the school fulfils its statutory duties.

Outlined below is the key information about each governor.

Reverend Christopher Spittle is the Chair of Governors and the Chair of the Resources committee. He is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Liverpool Diocese and St.Paul's PCC. His term of office ends in February 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Resources meetings. He is also on the Performance Management committee and is the Year 5 Class governor.

Mr Darran Lord is the Vice-Chair of Governors. He is a co-opted governor and his term of office ends in June 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings, 67% of Resources meetings and 100% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. He is the Year 5 Class, Training Link, Health and Safety and Safeguarding governor. He is a member of other committees.

Reverend Rachel Hope is a Foundation governor, appointed by Lancashire West Methodist Circuit. In the last academic year, she attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 33% of Resources meetings. Rachel is the Year 1 class governor this year and a member of the Resources Committee.

Mr Derek Ashcroft is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Lancashire West Methodist Circuit. His term of office ends in November 2020. In the last academic year, he attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Resources meetings. He is the Reception Class governor and a member of numerous other committees.

Mrs Jayne Curry is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Liverpool Diocese and St.Paul's PCC. Her term of office ends in September 2021. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 0% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. She is the Nursery Class, Mathematics and Attendance governor. She is a member of other committees.

Mrs Elaine Brookes is a local authority governor. She joined the governing body in May 2017 and her term of office ends in May 2021. In the last academic year, she attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 67% of Resources meetings. She is the Year 2 Class governor and a member of other committees.

Mr Colin Mason is a co-opted governor.His term of office ends in November 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 33% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. He is the Year 4 Class governor and a member of other committees.

Mrs Amanda Byrne is a parent governor. Her term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Resources meetings. She is Nursery Class and Website governor, and a member of other committees.

Mrs Lorraine Gove was a parent governor.Her term of office ended in January 2018. In the last academic year, she attended 33% of Full Governing Body meetings and 0% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. She was Nursery Class and Child Protection governor, and a member of other committees.

Mr Paul Greenwood is a parent governor.His term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 33% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. He is Year 2 Class and SEN governor, and a member of other committees.

Mr Ian Grady is a parent governor. His term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Resources meetings. He is Year 6 Class and Sports Premium governor, and a member of other committees.

Mrs Susan Tittle is a parent governor. Her term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, she attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 33% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is Year 3 Class and Pupil Premium governor. 

Miss Catherine Thompson is a parent governor.Her term of office ends in June 2021. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 33% of Standards and Curriculum meetings. She is Year 1 Class and SEN governor, and a member of other committees.

Mrs Jill Kokosi is a staff governor.Her term of office ends in November 2020. She joined the governing body in October 2016. She is a member of the Standards and Curriculum committee and the Pupil Voice governor. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Standards and Curriculum meetings.

Mrs Gemma Darley is a parent governor. She was appointed in July this year. Her term of office ends in July 2022.

Mr Richard Kershaw is the Head Teacher and attends all meetings.

Mrs Helen Winstanley is the Deputy Head Teacher and attends meetings as an observer.
