Governors

The governing body ensures the school fulfils its statutory duties.

Outlined below is the key information about each governor.

Reverend Christopher Spittle is the Chair of Governors and the Chair of the Finance and Premises committee. He is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Liverpool Diocese and St.Paul's PCC. His term of office ends in February 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Finance and Premises meetings. He is also on the Performance Management committee and is the Year 4 Class governor.

Reverend Michael Tindsley was the Vice-Chair of Governors and the Chair of the Staffing and Curriculum committee. He was a Foundation governor and was appointed by Lancashire West Methodist Circuit. He resigned in August 2017 and has been replaced by Reverend Rachel Hope. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. Rachel is the Reception class governor this year.

Mr Derek Ashcroft is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Lancashire West Methodist Circuit. His term of office ends in November 2020. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 67% of Finance and Premises meetings. He is the Nursery Class and School Improvement Target 1 governor and is a member of numerous other committees.

Mrs Jayne Curry is a Foundation governor and was appointed by Liverpool Diocese and St.Paul's PCC. Her term of office ends in September 2017. In the last academic year, she attended 33% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is the Year 6 Class and Attendance governor. She is a member of other committees.

Mrs Elaine Brookes is a local authority governor. She joined the governing body in May this year and her term of office ends in May 2021.

Mr Darran Lord is a co-opted governor.His term of office ends in June 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings, 100% of Finance and Premises meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. He is the Year 4 Class, Training Link, Health and Safety and Pupil Premium governor. He is a member of other committees.

Mr Colin Mason is a co-opted governor.His term of office ends in June 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 0% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. He is the Year 3 Class governor and a member of other committees.

Mrs Pamela White is a co-opted governor.Her term of office ends in July 2019. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is Year 2 class and a member of other committees.

Mrs Amanda Byrne is a parent governor.Her term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, she attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Finance and Premises meetings. She is Year 6 Class, Literacy and Website governor and a member of other committees.

Mrs Lorraine Gove is a parent governor.Her term of office ends in January 2018. In the last academic year, she attended 0% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is Nursery Class and Child Protection governor and a member of other committees.

Mr Paul Greenwood is a parent governor.His term of office ends in September 2019. In the last academic year, he attended 33% of Full Governing Body meetings and 67% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. He is Year 1 Class and SEN governor and a member of other committees.

Mr Ian Grady is a parent governor this year. In the last academic year, he attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 67% of Finance and Premises meetings. He is Year 5 Class and Pupil Premium governor and a member of other committees.

Mrs Susan Tittle is a parent governor this year. In the last academic year, she attended 100% of Full Governing Body meetings and 67% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is Year 2 Class, Pupil Voice and School Improvement Target 2 governor. 

Miss Catherine Thompson is a parent governor.Her term of office ends in June 2021. In the last academic year, she attended 67% of Full Governing Body meetings and 100% of Staffing and Curriculum meetings. She is Reception Class and SEN governor and a member of other committees.

Mrs Jill Kokosi is a staff governor.Her term of office ends in November 2020. She joined the governing body in October 2016. She is a member of the Staffing and Curriculum committee.

Mr Richard Kershaw is the Head Teacher and attends all meetings.

Mrs Helen Winstanley is the Deputy Head Teacher and attends meetings as an observer.
