Chester Zoo Virtual Tours

If you can't go to the zoo, they'll bring the zoo to you!

Many youngsters (and adults!) will no doubt be desperately missing visiting Chester Zoo as the government orders everyone to self isolate.

The zoo's animals are being well cared for and looked after by keepers while the gates are closed, but these strange times we're living in mean there's no telling when the tourist attraction will be able to reopen to the public again.

But if you're having withdrawal symptoms, don't worry - you'll still be able to catch up with your favourite animals, because the zoo is hosting an all day live virtual tour with hourly slots featuring a range of different animals.

You can enter the virtual gates on Facebook from 10am on Friday, March 26 and for the first time ever, enjoy a whole day of animal antics live from your sofa.

Just some of the animals featured will be red pandas at 10am, Rothschild's giraffes at 11am, Asian elephants at midday and butterflies at 1pm.

Then you can catch up with the Sun bears at 2pm, the Sumatran tigers at 2.30pm, the Humboldt penguins at 2.45pm and the aquarium at 4pm.
