A brilliant week in Year Two

What a brilliant week we have had in Year 2! Although it has been slightly shorter than a normal week, we have still packed in as much learning as we could! The children have been captivated in English by our topic on Aladdin. They have taken their writing to a new level and truly blown our socks off! In history we have begun learning about the industrial revolution, the children have all grasped the opportunity to jump into the shoes of a child living in this time, through drama and writing, and have understood how tough it must have been for them. We also had the chance to research some of the inventions from this period on the IPads.

Finally, construction club began this week and the children all worked so hard to create 3D shapes using straws and tape. We definitely spent some time in the pit, but the end products were brilliant!
