I am a child - where can I go for help?
Are you worried about something?
If you are worried about something and you don't want to, or perhaps you can't tell your parents, teachers or the person who looks after you then don't worry, there is a great charity called Childline who will help you. Clicking on the Childline button here will take you to their website and then you can sign in for free, and either speak to or message someone privately who is there to listen and help you.
This website has some great advice for online safety and worries:
Click on this logo to take you straight to the CEOP children and teens information pages packed full of guidance hosted at: https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/.
“Come in to find the latest information on the sites you like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. If you look after young people there’s an area for you too – with resources you can use in the classroom or at home. Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online. All the information here is brought to you by the team at the NCA's CEOP Command. We hope you like it!”
‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ is a guide for all the different people who should work together if you need help. It explains what is expected of them, and what they have to do to make sure you are listened to. It also tells them how they can help you understand what help and support you can get.
Sometimes people will need to make decisions quickly to make sure you are safe, and this guide explains how they do that, including explaining to you what is happening and why.
This version of the guide is made especially for children and young people. We have made this because you have a right to know how the people who help you work with each other
and what you can expect when you ask for help. (click the image below to access the guide)
